About
My name is Jäde O’Wilde.
I am a queer French & Indigenous mix photographer and a holistic full spectrum doula in « so-called Vancouver ».
My offerings are a reflection of my true self:
Documentarian of intimacy.
Recently I became a mother to one earthling, Makwa, whome I honor as a teacher in understanding physiologic birth and healing.
I am a former paramedic and registered massage therapist, and currently focusing on serving birthing parents from a
whole-istic approach.
Wanting to honour the human experience,
I’m drawn to capturing the profoundness of Matrescence - birth, death, parenthood, becoming and beyond.
I’m fascinated by the darker, moodier moments that reveal our truest selves. Through my photography and birth work, I prioritize comfort, empathy, and accessibility, creating a safe space for clients to feel at ease and be their authentic selves. I am part of the queer community and serve all shapes and sizes, on all walks of life.
My authenticity to hold space for womb care is complemented by the teachings of admirable wise teachers such as Whapio (The Matrona), Spinning Babies, BROOD care, L'academie du Massage et d'Orthotherapie de hull, and my local mentors and birthworkers who have been with me through pregnancy, birth, and this wild and creative post partum journey.
I am a member of the DAFGP (Doulas for Aboriginal People Grant Program). My doula services can be fully funded for Indigenous families. DM for more info.
Let’s explore life’s intimate moments together and honor the human experience.
